-i like how you matched the colours of the make up on the model with the bottom purple strand at the bottom of the page. - to improve on this page i would say to improve on the masthead so it looks more effective and proffessional on the front cover
The photo is really good and works with the layout of the magazine and the genre.
The coverlines also work well with the photo; you can read them and they don't go over the model's face. However, the wording of the coverlines is a bit vague. Readers who don't know who Safia is, or who are reading this magazine for the first time would not know why they should read this article based on the main coverlines.
I also like how the flower that she is wearing pokes through the gap in the 'n' of the coverline.
The bottom quarter with the coverlines in the purple works well as well; the purple works well with the genre and I like the use of extra photos, but the photos of the boys look like yearbook photos instead of magazine photos. These images might look better on the contents page. Also, coverlines - even minor coverlines - don't conventionally include the page number; this can be found on the contents page.
This looks like an actual front cover. The photographs are nice and i like the idea of the little pictures at the bottom. However i dont think the front cover fully shows what kind of genre your music is but i think the readers of the magazine would kind of get it seeing as they would buy due to the fact that they like that genre of music.
In addition to this i think that you should add a price to the front cover if it does have a price or say that its free somewhere on the page. i think that you've put the cover lines in a good place as i am able to see the image on your front cover very well.
this looks really good especially the purple strip on the bottom and the use of images however, you could have used them on your contents page and let the main image take up the entire cover and have the other artists included in the magazine as just coverlines
the image is a very good selection, however i dont think that the cover lines may be hard to see from far. bottom of the page is very good and it has a good format, however the text could be a little bigger
